The dresses from Strictly Come Dancing have always been gorgeous. Series 12 from the English version is no difference. I’ve collected some of my favorite dresses and since the show still have around three weeks there are probably more to be added!
Mark Wright & Karen Hauer dances the Tango
Mark Wright & Karen Hauer dances the Quickstep
Mark Wright & Karen Hauer dances The American Smooth
Caroline Flack & Pasha Kovalov dances the Paso Double
Frankie Bridge & Kevin Clifton dances the Waltz

Puxie Lott & Trent Whiddon dances the Tango
I adore all these dresses and many more. Maybe I’ll add more dresses. The people designing these are very good. My favorite have to Frankie’s Tango dress, Karen’s Tango dress or Caroline’s Paso Double dress.

It’s difficult to pinpoint a winner of the English version right now. There are at least three to four contenders to win the Glitter Ball (as the trophy is called in English). There’s no doubt that Frankie Bridge and Pixie Lott are naturally gifted in the art of dancing. They both look so relaxed and it looks really effortless. The other two is Jake Wood (Max Branning on Eastenders) and Simon Webb (from the boyband Blue). They have both improved so much over the past weeks. That leaves two, Sunetra Sarker (Zoe Hanna on Casualty) and someone named Mark Wright. I have no idea who he is or what he’s famous for. Anyway I might be biased since I adore Kevin Clifton (Frankie’s pro partner).
I believe Sunetra is the one to leave the competition on Sunday based on what I’ve seen on Youtube and what I’ve read on Digital Spy. The next one out could be Mark. This leaves me with my four favorites. Well, we’ll just have to wait and see.
The judges are hilarious – especially Bruno Tonioli and Craig Ravel Horwood. Darcy Bussell reminds me a little of Nikolaj Hübbe (one of the judges on the Danish version. They have a shared background in ballet and as such is someone outside looking in. Well sort of since ballet don’t equal knowledge of ballroom dancing. I don’t really have much to say about head judge, Len Goodman.
The Difference Between The Danish And The English Version
I haven’t watched the Danish version of Strictly Come Dancing the past two years. My parents however are keen viewers of it – especially my mom. I was lurking around on the message board for the English version on Digital Spy because I was – well bored.I’ve been reading through some posts and going to Youtube see what they talked about I quickly realized it’s a whole different show than the one I’m used to here in Denmark. They have all sorts of props, back up dancers (in some weeks), a larger audience and what not.
The biggest difference seems to bet that the professional dancers don’t choose their own music in the British version as some weeks has a theme. It’s quite similar to X-Factor who has 80’s night or something lik that. In Strictly Come Dancing they have had a Halloween week, Movie week, Blackpool week and now Around The World week.
One thing I do love about Strictly Come Dancing is the dresses. There are so many lovely dresses. In my next article I’ll write about them.
